Greg Hatcher - Greg has
been the coach of the Bluebirds since he started the program in
1995.
Since the initial Bluebird team was started in 1995 they have won conference
championships with the Y.M.C.A. and C.A.S.A., Central Arkansas Soccer Association,
each and every year. His teams have won over 94 percent of all games played
and have won twelve state championships.
Hatcher was a three-sport athlete in high school and college, lettering in soccer,
wrestling, and baseball. He was a three-year starter at right halfback for Alma
College's soccer teams between 1979 and 1983. Following college he coached a
year of baseball at Notre Dame University and has been coaching kids youth soccer,
basketball, and football teams since 1984. Every sports team he has ever coached
since 1984 has won the championship for their season with the exception of his
1993 football team, which finished second.
Hatcher believes the kids enjoy working hard and enjoys teaching his kids self-confidence and most importantly to earn that self-confidence through hard work and discipline. He also teaches kids a lot more than the physical aspects of the game. He teaches the mental parts of the game that will not only help them in sports but later in their business careers, parenting , and in life.
