~ 2005 President's Cup Championships U11 Girls~

The Mighty Bluebirds Black team won their third consecutive State Championship when they beat LRFC Blue 6-1. Bluebirds breezed through the state tournament winning their first game against the Arkansas Soccer Club Wings/Red Devils 8-1, their second game they beat the Searcy Live Wires 11-0, in the third game they beat the Arkansas Comets
8-1and in the semi finals they beat Ingram FC 4-0 and in the finals they beat LRFC Blue 6-1.

The Bluebirds State Championship was one of its best as they did it with several new players. Madison Lee and Brianna Gordon had never played soccer before, but developed into a fine goalkeeper and defender. Newcomers Lauren Ashburn, Kelsey Smith, Megan Batek, and Samantha Mack all were major contributors to the Bluebirds State Championship holding down and scoring goals. Annie Stafford continued to play goalie when needed and put the ball in the net on the other end on offense. Larkin Hatcher continued her outstanding passing while also putting in a few goals. Leah Riner and Olivia Caillouet manned the top of the diamond spot and some forward spots scoring throughout the tournament while Haley Hatcher continued to shred defenses with her moves. Haley Filat was a terror on defense getting in everybody's lunch and making it almost impossible to score. Lauren Ashburn started off as goalie, but after breaking her hand played a lot of forward for us scoring several goals in the state tournament.

More than anything the Mighty Bluebird Black is the ultimate team with great leadership and wonderful unity. Kelsey Smith played throughout the tournament with a broken foot while Madison Lee, Lauren Ashburn, Annie Stafford, and Megan Batek played whatever role the team needed to help win. More than any other time in the past players played multiple positions to do whatever it took to help the Bluebirds win. The Bluebirds stayed undefeated against teams their own age for the seventh straight year, an absolutely unbelievable mark.
