~ 2004 Memphis Invitational ~

Goals Scored: 19
Goals Allowed: 0

The Mighty Bluebird Black team won the Memphis Invitational beating teams from Missouri, Arkansas, and Tennessee. The Black team had a great tournament allowing no goals throughout the tournament. Although the Black team beat MC United Storm from 5-0 in a cross bracket game earlier in the tournament they met the same opponent in the finals. In their earlier game Haley Hatcher had four goals, but this time she was double and triple marked the entire game. The MC United Storm team kept the game close as it took an overtime golden goal by Annie Sixbey, a defender, who chipped it in from just outside the box to win it for the Bluebirds.

This kept the Mighty Bluebird Black team's unbeaten streak alive against opponents their own age. This tournament was a fine end to the spring season for the Mighty Bluebird Black team who also won the State Championship, the MS United Spring Classic tournament, and the SuperClubs Regional tournament.
