The Mighty Bluebirds White team won the Capital City Cup after finishing Runner-Up in the SuperClubs tournament and the Huntsville tournaments earlier in the year. The Bluebirds cruised to the finals with wins in their first 2 games beating CFC Rage, 9-0, and LRFC 90 White, 5-0. In the Semi-Finals they beat the Tulsa Blitz 90 Navy team from Oklahoma 2-0 with the goals coming on a penalty kick by Kelsey Hatcher and a goal by Annie DeCoursey assisted by Kelsey Hatcher for the second goal. Although the score was close the Bluebirds dominated the game.

When the Bluebirds met the Blue team in an all Bluebird final it was called a Co-Championship as has happened so many times before and both teams went home. In the earlier games multiple goals were scored by Danielle Anderson, Kaylee Flowers, Annie DeCoursey, and Tracy Powell. Midfield was controlled by Caty McMains, Amanda Janton, Rebekah Riner, and Caitlin Lamb. Our goalkeeper, Lauren Naeyaert, led the defense with three consecutive shutouts with fantastic help from defenders Abby Bloom, Jonie Block, Ashley Moskow, and Erin Warden. The Bluebirds continue to gel well as a team and have great leadership and they are one of the most fun teams of all time to coach.
