- The Mighty Bluebirds Blue Classic team won the 2002 Twin Lakes Invitational tournament on April 13th and 14th. This was their first tournament win and second consecutive final. The Bluebirds won tournament games including a 2-1 victory over the Arkansas Comets, a 4-0 victory over Cabot Venom, a 3-1 victory over the Jonesboro Tornadoes, and a 1-0 victory over Conway Inferno.

- The Bluebirds were led in scoring by Kelsey Burr with four goals and four assists, (including two game winning goals), Ashley Moskow with two goals and two assists, Mary Whisenhunt with two goals, Katie Blubaugh with two goals and Stacy Coonce, Beth Wendl, and Ellie Lassiter each with an assist. The midfield, again, had great support from players such as Janie Byrum, Emily Maxwell, and Kathleen Zani.

- The defense had another great tournament by allowing only two goals for the entire tournament. The defense was led by Jonie Block, Hannah Webber, Amanda Johnson, Jamie Coonce, Anna Trigg, Teresa Schieber, and goalie, Lauren Willems
