The Mighty Bluebirds Blue U-13 team captured the 3rd annual Harvest Cup Championship on October 19th and 20th in Jonesboro, Arkansas. The Bluebirds outscored their opponents 25-2 en route to their victory.

The Bluebirds had a 14-0 victory over Greenwood, MS, a 4-0 victory over the Searcy Crush, a 1-0 victory over Poplar Bluff, MO., and a 6-2 victory over the Lakewood Illusion.

The Bluebirds were led in scoring by Kelsey Burr, who finished with 8 goals and 4 assists. Also contributing in scoring were Stacy Coonce, Mary Whisenhunt, Emily Maxwell, Ellie Lassiter, Beth Wendl, Hannah Webber, Anna Trigg, Janie Byrum, and Katie Blubaugh.

The defense again had a rock solid performance. Led by Lauren Willems, Theresa Scheiber, Hannah Webber, Anna Trigg, Kathleen Zani, Amanda Johnson, Micah Rice, and Jamie Coonce. The Bluebird defense allowed only 2 goals for the entire tournament.

The victory was the 2nd tournament victory for the Blue team for the 2002 fall season.
